CTA Community Building Session: Tackling Vehicle Purchasing Challenges in CT

Registration is closed for this event
CTA Community Building Sessions - for members to network, collaborate, learn about industry trends & tackle challenges together!

Join our upcoming Community Building Session, a regular peer-to-peer virtual network event designed for Community Transport advocates. This session will be focused around current issues with vehicle purchasing and supply chain delays impacting services across the Community Transport sector.

Outline of Event:

Vehicle Purchasing Insights: During this session, we'll hear from operators who have experience of purchasing vehicles in the current climate where supply chain delays are common, and learn about how they have navigated this. This section offers a platform for sharing experiences and practical advice in preparing to purchase a vehicle and responding to supply chain delays.

We would also love to make the most of this opportunity and hear from you! Have you recently purchased a vehicle (or parts) and had to deal with delays in delivery? Or struggled to find the vehicle you need? Maybe you've picked up some practical advice you could share with other operators in the same boat? Or do you have some expertise or interest in purchasing electric vehicles? We'd love for you to join the conversation!

Open Discussion and Networking: An informal, interactive session where participants can discuss topics of interest, share insights, and network with peers in a relaxed setting.

This event will not only be a great opportunity to pick up pracitcal tips on purchasing vehicles, but also to learn from other members and expand your network.

The Focus for this Months Session is: Tackling Vehicle Purchasing Challenges in CT

Running a Community Transport Organisation can be incredibly rewarding, with enormous opportunities to support communities and make an impact. Consequently, CT services can be challenging and somewhat isolated, especially when you need advice, a sounding board or want to chat through an issue or development opportunity.

For this reason, CTA is building on the success of our national advice helpline and the ‘Advice Drop Ins’ introduced during the early days of the Covid-19 pandemic in 2020, and relaunching it with a new name, Community Building Sessions. We recognise that our members face unique challenges and that the support of peers who understand those challenges can be incredibly valuable.

Our goal is to make these sessions more engaging, interactive and to foster a sense of community among all of us who are working to improve transport services in our communities.

The sessions run every 3rd Wednesday of the month, and will create additional opportunities for us all to:

  • Discuss any issues relating to CT in an open and supportive environment.
  • Uncover emerging trends such as decarbonisation, climate actions, funding opportunities or any updates across the sector.
  • Network and build connections with members across regional and national boundaries.
  • Resolve complex or sensitive queries from members through peer-to-peer learning.
  • Gather intelligence and ideas from CTOs about what’s happening in the sector to feed into CTA's policy, influencing and campaign work.
  • Connect with CT Operators across regional/national boundaries.
  • Gather feedback from members on how CTA can better support their cause.

We can't wait to welcome you along to our Community Building Sessions, make sure to update your diaries and register now!
