Show and Tell: Glenfarg Community Transport Group

Welcome to a new series of exciting events. ‘Show and Tell’ is a new platform for Community Transport operators to share their innovative and inspirational stories with other CTA members.

In our first-ever ‘Show and Tell’ session, we’ll be learning about how Glenfarg Community Transport Group’s community buses went from an idea at CTA’s Scotland Conference 2022 to a highly popular and celebrated service, making headlines all over the UK in little more than a year – from the BBC to the Guardian, from success to success. After losing their local bus routes, villagers have stepped up to reconnect Glenfarg with Kinross, Perth and beyond.

Hear from Drew Smart, Chair, Glenfarg Community Transport Group on what it takes to deliver a community-owned bus service; learn how to bring a community of volunteers and passengers together; and discuss whether a Section 22 permit is your next step! It promises to be a fantastic and fascinating Zoom session.
